Gondwana University's TRICEF Incubation Center actively participated in the 35th edition of India's major state-level innovation exhibition-cum-competition, "DIPEX 2026", held from 5th to 8th March 2026 at the MIT Campus in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.
This participation took place under the guidance of Honorable Vice-Chancellor Dr. Prashant Bokare and Director (TRICEF) Prof. Manish D. Uttarwar. Representing TRICEF, Chief Executive Officer Mr. Wrushank Sorte actively participated in the event and interacted with various stakeholders in the innovation ecosystem.
Organized by Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad and Srujan Trust, DIPEX has been a major initiative promoting innovation and entrepreneurship since 1986. The 2026 edition saw large participation from students across Maharashtra and Goa, showcasing projects in areas such as agri-tech, artificial intelligence, energy, healthcare, sustainability, defense, and open innovation. The event served as an effective platform connecting education, industry, and incubation ecosystems.
As part of the event, TRICEF set up a stall which received a strong response from students, innovators, and aspiring entrepreneurs seeking support in incubation, startup development, and commercialization opportunities. The TRICEF team actively guided participants on idea validation, incubation pathways, and market linkage strategies.
Mr. Wrushank Sorte played an important role in interacting with students, evaluating innovative projects, and mentoring participants, helping them refine their ideas and align them with real-world applications. His engagement with fellow incubators, policymakers, and stakeholders strengthened TRICEF's network and collaboration opportunities.
A key highlight of DIPEX 2026 was the state-level conclave on "Incubators and Startup Ecosystem" held on 6th and 7th March 2026, in collaboration with NITI Aayog, Maharashtra State Innovation Society, and other leading institutions. The sessions focused on policy alignment, funding opportunities, mentorship frameworks, and strengthening the incubation ecosystem across the state.
Overall, the event witnessed participation from thousands of students, hundreds of projects, incubation centers, and industry experts, making it a vibrant hub of innovation, collaboration, and entrepreneurship.
