The Gadchiroli Tourism Transformation Festival 2025, organized by the TRICEF Incubation Centre at Gondwana University, Gadchiroli, in collaboration with the District Administration and Sobay Tourism, was successfully held on 26th September. The event was inaugurated by Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor Dr. Prashant Bokare, who emphasized the university's commitment to nurturing students' artistic and entrepreneurial potential. The occasion was further graced by distinguished dignitaries including Lt. Col. Vikram Mehta, Director of Lloyds Metal, Additional Collector Shri Nitin Gawande, Deputy Collector Smt. Smita Belpatre, Prof. Manish Uttarwar, Director TRICEF, along with other esteemed guests, marking a strong institutional and administrative presence.
The festival brought together a diverse group of participants including students, entrepreneurs, startups, and women-led self-help groups, creating a dynamic platform for innovation and cultural exchange. A wide range of exhibitions and showcases featured contributions from organizations such as Gondwana Kashtashilp Kala Kendra LLP, Vasundhara Mahila Utpadak Group, Adivasi Laxmi Mahila Bachat Group, Utkarsh Self-Help Group, Siddarth Self-Help Group, Giradkar Natural Agro Industries LLP, Freshal Agroforestry Export LLP, Anishika Praise Udyog LLP, Chintamani College of Arts & Science, and the Science & Technology Resource Centre of Gondwana University, among others. These participants presented an array of tribal handicrafts, organic and agro-based products, local food items, healthcare initiatives, and innovative entrepreneurial ventures.
Cultural programs formed a key highlight, featuring tribal dance, drama, a fashion show, and a vlog-making competition, all celebrating the rich tribal heritage of the region. Competitions further encouraged creativity, with notable winners recognized across categories such as dance, fashion, and digital storytelling.
Overall, the festival created meaningful opportunities for students, startups, and local entrepreneurs to showcase their creativity and business acumen while receiving valuable exposure and mentorship. It significantly contributed to strengthening the local tourism ecosystem by promoting sustainable practices, encouraging entrepreneurship, and fostering collaborations.
