The Student Innovation Challenge, organized under the Maharashtra State Innovation Society, witnessed an enthusiastic response from students across the state, with remarkable participation from the Gadchiroli district.
A total of 57 colleges from Gadchiroli actively participated in the initiative, demonstrating a strong commitment to innovation and entrepreneurship among students. The challenge aimed to transform students’ creative ideas into practical solutions through structured guidance, mentorship, and institutional support.
Across Maharashtra, over 2,172 institutions registered, with 9,227 student innovators submitting their ideas. From Gadchiroli alone, a significant number of entries were received, highlighting the district’s growing innovation potential. Notably, 23 student projects from the district were shortlisted, reflecting the quality and impact of ideas generated by young minds.
This initiative was effectively supported by the Innovation, Skill Development, Employment, and Entrepreneurship Department of Gadchiroli, along with the Innovation, Incubation, and Research Center of Gondwana University. Their collaborative efforts played a crucial role in mobilizing students and nurturing innovation at the grassroots level.
The program also benefited from the guidance of esteemed academic leaders, faculty members, and innovation experts, ensuring that participants received the necessary mentorship and direction to refine their ideas.
Such initiatives continue to strengthen the innovation ecosystem in aspirational districts like Gadchiroli, empowering students to become future entrepreneurs and problem-solvers.
